Accordion Plus

Hi, my name is Luis Huancapaza.

I had modified the Rico Accordion so that you can change its behavior in many different ways by modifying only one parameter
in most cases. I had made many improvements on Rico components that I would like to share but I need to know if it is useful to
you. I also would like to know if you agree with the changes I had made.

We have restrictions with the resources in Source Forge. Please try this component in your local machine by downloading the demo file.
So if you find any problem with this code or if you would like to give an opinion please mail me to luisenriqu3@hotmail.com

In the next pages you will find some examples which I have tested in Internet Explorer and Firefox, with no
problem. The remarks and songs for the examples had been select randomly.

- Example 1: Here you can see three types of accordion: two from the last Rico release and the third is mine.
- Example 2: An accordion using style sheets and color parameters. You can see the auto-resize behavior.
- Example 3: A normal accordion, no appearance parameter or style sheets, what is new in it? it can be completely collapsed if you want.
- Example 4: A normal accordion, but with appearance parameter and no style sheets, what is new in it? it can be completely expanded.
- Example 5: Here We use accordions like a tabs and we can see some of the previous behaviors.
- Example 6: Finally a page with all the behaviors which have been already described.

You can DOWNLOAD the full example HERE in Accordion_Tested.zip

In addition to Rico library, you can also try Rico LiveGrid Plus, which is a great component, done by Matt Brown.

[06-12-2006 ADDED: Option onShowTab]
[10-12-2006 ADDED: A directory with a "Compressed Version" and a README.txt file were included]
[15-12-2006 ADDED: dissabled option included, example here]

to describe the behaviors I had used the next notation:

auto size = the size is detected and so the accordion expands until that it shows all its contents (options -> panelHeight:"auto")
normal = it doesn't show more than a tab (options -> mode:normal [by default]) is the opposite of free (options -> mode:"free")
retract = it is able to contract all its tabs (it works with onLoadShowTab:-2 [in "normal" tabs the initial tab to show is hidden] )
